I will not consider the whys and wherefores or the what the hells of having belly-dancers in a university dining hall, but damn, I approve of that particular surprise today.

(They were not that scantily-clothed; this is a respectable institution! Even if we do have dancing girls on the tables in the dining hall.)

I consider the random appearance of dancers to be one of the best parts of college. We have regularly scheduled swing dancers, sporadic outbreaks of b-boys, and on one memorable occasion we were hit by a roving band of Morris Dancers.

I love higher education.

At my uni, the Circus Society are frequently to be found rehearsing on the Geology Lawns. Mostly this seems to consist of standing around, but occasionally it's quite spectacular.

Clearly I went to the wrong college: we got ambushed by nitwits rushing off-campus frats and sororities, and then had to sit through them making fools of themselves in the middle of dinner at the dining hall. I want Morris Dancers!

Every year at Madison, the Morris Dancers came to the Social Science building, they also danced at the Computing Center.

They said it was for Spring Equinox.

They can't fool me, they were doing the annual blessing of the VAX clusters.

Awww I never get that at my university. The closest we come is at the beginning of each semester when the social and ballroom dance club does the dancing equivalent of busking to drum up interest.
