I am not even joking right now. People, there is one rule, one ironclad no-fucking-around law of social interaction, and it is GET OUT OF THE MOTHERFUCKING WAY. Don't stroll down the fucking moving sidewalks. Don't wait until the people in the rows in front of you are halfway out of the plane to get your lazy ass up and start fumbling around for your shit in the overhead bin. It's an airport. People are in FOUL FUCKING MOODS and will gladly take any excuse to rip someone's throat out with their teeth and cart the severed head in triumph to the Starbucks where it will earn them 15% off a venti latte.

Looking at the full post, the only bit I can take issue with is the "stay on the right unless you're moving" thing - simply because airports are international, and several countries (mine included) have a habit of "stay on the left unless you're moving". I think I'd probably end up unthinkingly standing on the left and really annoying all the right-standing people...

My husband and I had that problem all the time in Japan. We were always trying to get out of the way, and then making it worse when we moved the wrong direction.

Most of the airports where this is an issue have signs and labels on the moving walkway itself, "WALK LEFT STAND RIGHT". (There's also "do what the other people are doing" as a reasonable starting point.)

I must admit, thanks to my Dad and learned behaviour, at my main train station I have a habit during peak hour of bellowing "KEEP LEFT" at people who persist in trying to walk into me when I am so far to my own left I am practically climbing the wall.

...Let's not even get started on the idiots who get through the gate just to stop at the top of the stairs a few meters inside the gates to gape up at the train times.
