ETA: re the beavers, afaik they use it for scent marking territory, and imo it is really gross that in the US it's allowed to use it as food additive to make flavors like fake-strawberry. You should not fake strawberries with beaver butt secretions. That's just wrong and it sucks for vegetarians like me to have surprise beaver without even needing a clear label.

I think fake fake strawberry would be made in a lab, the beaver thing is 'natural' fake strawberry. But yeah, I think I'll be sticking to things with identifiable strawberry fruit in them for a while.
