The goodness of what goes into a cat is not reflected in what comes out

[personal profile] mab_browne is sure their other cats were never this much trouble:
So, we had to buy the expensive catfood because wee boy just wasn't getting enough good nutrition and it was displaying itself in what I shall gloss over with the catch-all term 'digestive disturbance'. Cat owners will know what I mean and non cat-owners will no doubt shake their heads wisely and reflect that they knew there were reasons that they don't bother with the creatures. Wee boy's food is expensive - at least five times more costly than the cheap supermarket food.

However, even through the stomach that walks like a cat is now getting the gourmet kibble (an American word that I love with a deep and abiding affection) he still has the desperate urge to eat, gnaw, chew and generally consume whatever he can lay his little feline mouth upon. Flies and other insects, for example, mice, birds, grass, miscellaneous jellymeat, the antenna of the internet router... This, of course, causes digestive disturbance. The SWWLAC is perfectly happy and relaxed about this. His life's aim is but to eat everything in sight and to lie around right in the middle of the doorways waiting for us to scratch his tummy.

The rest of the household, subject to mysterious effluvia, is less laid-back.
