Probably not actually.. we can surmise that the reaction itself is relatively 'clean' from the lack of shielding and the fact he doesn't die of radiation sickness in the first half hour after powering up the Mk1 reactor.

So, the majority of the fallout would the result of the rapidly expanding cloud of super-hot plasma vaporising nearby objects... so mostly soft x-rays stopped by a few inches of concrete or a few tens of feet of open air.
