I have been trying to put together my annual review for work and the problem is that it's been such a shitty year that I literally can't remember most of it.

I mean, fortunately I was apparently taking notes the entire time? IDK, don't ask me, Current Me wasn't really there but I guess Past Me had good habits.

Heh, now you know how we feel in Australia. We have jokes about changing the smoke detector battery every time the Prime minister changes. Feels like it has been a while since one finished out their term.

I mean on the one hand yes, and on the other I do feel that "we have no idea yet! whether we're leaving the EU! on the 21st of March! on WTO terms! so they decided NOW was the time to try to stab the negotiation leader in the back!" adds a certain... frisson to the experience. :-p
